Upon my arrival at House Net, I was immediately introduced to a group of extremely energetic toddlers. Jumping, spitting, pinching, hair-pulling toddlers. These were my charges.
After playing with a couple of the kids for less than an hour, it was very touching when they began referring to me as Mami. Here I was, a teenager who spoke little more Spanish than these toddlers, and they were placing me on a maternal pedestal of glory. I had a lot to live up to
