My Favorite Memory: On the day of my arrival, while Mr. Tillett picked me up from the airport, on the way back to the children’s home, we ran into a bunch of kids who just got off from school. They saw us and rushed into the car. The car was fully packed. It was a warm welcome!

Ghana is a country in West Africa. It is bordered by Cote d Ivoire to the west, Togo to the East and Burkina Faso to the North. It is a very rich country in culture with very friendly and peaceful people. The country boasts of many natural resources including gold, forests and mines.

For those who love the nature, history, people and culture, this is a great place to visit. Persons will not only have a wonderful time when working with the locals, but they will also love the country.

In January 2011 A Broader View hosted 12 students from the University of Dayton in Belize. Volunteering at the orphanage was an eye opener for many of the students, some of whom have never traveled outside of the USA. During their one week project the group worked incredibility hard and really made a strong impact by completing the green house project, assisting with the new planting schedule, and also painting a mural on the little girls dorm room.
